Introduction

Temple of Demon God Instance is the sequel to the Morse Cave Instance and is the final leg to the Satan Morroc quest trilogy in Episode 14.3 (starting with Bios Island Instance).

In this Instance, Satan Morroc has reincarnated as the Demon God using the resurrecting powers of the Yggdrasil. He shares that he wants to act as Creator for a new world and clean the old. Guardian Niddhog seeks your help to stop him.

The Instance has five phases. First, you will fight two demon apostles to enter the Temple. Second, you will fight an ice demon. Third, you will fight a fire demon. Fourth, you will fight the demigod or kid version of the Demon God. Lastly, you will have to fight the god or adult version of Satan Morroc, Despair God Morroc.

Requirements

Tips

  • It is best to do this Instance with a party as you’ll be dealing with very high-HP MVPs here. Further, both physical and magic damage is recommended to finish this instance faster.
    • In the first phases, magical damage will be helpful (Demon God Apostle Ahat is ghost, Brinaranea is water and has low MDEF), while physical damage would be needed to DPS for the final room, as demon god shifts from holy to shadow.
  • All the monsters in the instance are Boss Protocol. Weapons and armor that increase damage and resist against Boss mobs will be handy (Alice card, Lord of Death, Shield of Death).
  • Most of the monsters in the instance, save for the very first boss, are Demon race. Weapons and armor that increase damage, resist, and DEF/MDEF pierce against Demon mobs will be handy (Exorcist Shadows).
  • Prepare/Be ready with different elemental weapons/ammunitions/skills for this Instance. You will need Water, Ghost, Wind, Water (again), Shadow, and then Holy, in that order.
  • Prepare a lot of SP potions if your build is skill-based. You’ll be clicking and tapping for a while.

Instance Proper

  • Warp to Dimensional Gap using the Dimensional Teleporter in Eden first floor (moc_para01 37,81).
  • In the Dimensional Gap make the first turn to the left and talk to the Sand Mound (moro_vol 136, 136) to go to Flame Basin.
  • Once inside Flame Basin, talk to BOTH Commander Hibba Agip and Abidal (moro_vol 108, 88). You will need to talk with them about two times.
  • In the Flame Basin, talk to Tamarin near the center of the map (moro_vol 198, 179) to enter Morse Cave.
  • Talk to Guardian Nidhogg (moro_cav 40, 73) to start the Temple of Demon God instance. If Nidhogg does not give you the option to start the instance, double check if you received the go signal from Commander Agip and Abidal.
  • After waiting for the instance queue, talk to the tree named Yggdrasil Lookalike (moro_cav 43, 73) to enter the Temple of Demon God Instance.

Phase 1 – Entering the temple

  • You will be summoned in a stone-like plane, with red fog surrounding you.
  • Talk to Ahat in the middle of the room.
  • Demon God Apostles will spawn, together with their smaller summons. Kill them.

Demon God Apostles

  • Demon God Apostle Ahat will spawn nearer you. It is best to kill him first before stealing the aggro of the other Demon God Apostle.
    • Wear water ammunition/weapon and use water skills, and use Angel def/mdef piercing gear.
    • He will have 4 summons with him, but they are not a threat.
    • Watch out for Magic Mirror.
  • Demon God Apostle Shnaim will spawn at the same time with Ahat, but further north from you. You will need to kill him as well to advance.
    • He is ghost 3. For physical classes, you will deal no damage with neutral element. Change elements. For magic classes, ghost skills will deal the best damage.
    • As with Ahat, he will have summons with him but they are likewise not a threat.
  • MVP details:
Demon God Apostle Ahat
5,000,000 HP, Large , Fire 2, Boss Protocol, Angel
Demon God Apostle Shnaim
5,000,000 HP, Large, Ghost 3, Boss Protocol, Demon
  • You will get Soul of Ahat and Soul of Shnaim from killing each of the Demon God Apostles.
  • Feed the souls to the empty soul globes near the door to the temple in the far north of that map. One on each side.
  • Once inside the Temple, you’ll be summoned to a room with three portals in the West, East, and North (hereinafter, Middle Room). These portals will unlock or open one by one in the order stated as you progress the Instance.
  • Go near the Strange Boy and click him. This is the Demon God in his young/boy form. Let him talk. He will explain how he was reborn and his plans for the new world.
  • A portal on the right will open. Go in.

Phase 2 – Facing the Ice Demon

  • You will be summoned in a blue, icy room.
  • Water-element frost Spiders will spawn. They pose no threat. Kill them.
  • Move closer to the center of the room and you will trigger the room’s boss, Brinaranea. Kill her.
    • She is water. Use wind element skills or wind convert scrolls/ammunition.
    • Anti-freezing armor (marc card, frozen supplement reactor) is a need, as she will freeze you (a lot). Use water and/or lightning resists too, if you have trouble tanking her. She uses Storm Gust, Frost Diver, and Jupitel Thunder.
    • She also knocks you back. Best to tank against a wall or use anti-knockback gear.
    • For ASPD-based classes, note that she uses quagmire.
    • This fight will be a DPS check. She has 80m+ HP.
  • MVP details:
Brinaranea
81,650,000 HP, Large, Demon, Boss Protocol, Water 3
  • You may talk to Cold Mana Crystalline to get Frost Crystal. This can be useful for the next boss.
  • After killing the Brinaranea, go through the portal in the north-east. You will receive EXP.
  • You will enter the Middle Room again. Go near the Demon God and listen to him again.
  • You may talk to Nidhogg to get a dragon mercenary.
  • A portal in the east will activate after the Demon God’s speech. Go in.

Phase 3 – Facing the Fire Demon

  • You will be summoned in a red, firey room.
  • Move forward and you’ll meet fire-element Frenzied Kasas. Kill them.
  • The boss in this room is Muspelskoll. Kill him.
    • He is Fire element. Needless to say, use water skills and water elemental weapons and converters.
    • His fire-element skills are painful. Fire resist potions or fire armors will be helpful (Fire Armor Scroll, Pasana Card, Lucius’s Fierce Armor of Volcano). He uses Fire Attack, Fire Bolt, and Fire Breath.
  • MVP details:
Muspellskoll
55,620,000 HP, Large, Demon, Boss Protocol, Fire 3
  • After killing the MVP, go through the portal in the north-west. You will receive EXP.
  • You will enter the Middle Room again. Go near the Demon God and listen to him again.
  • A portal in the north will activate after the Demon God’s speech. Go in.
  • Tip: the boss will immediately spawn in the next map. It is safest to buff while in the Middle Room before you enter the portal.

Phase 4 – Demon God in Kid Form

  • In this small room, you fill face Demigod, the first/kid version of Satan Morroc’s god form. Kill him.
    • Demigod is holy. Shadow ammunition or cursed water will be needed here. Elemental magic skills will not deal good damage.
    • You can mostly safety wall or pot his normal attacks, especially if you are wearing a shield. Alice card will be helpful.
    • He casts Earthquake. Watch out for a semi-long cast from him and move away from the red cells (or tank it, if you are in a big party).
    • This said, this phase will be mostly a DPS check with demigod’s 80,000,000 HP.
  • MVP details:
Demigod
80,000,000 HP, Small, Demon, Boss Protocol, Holy 3

Phase 5 – Demon God in Adult Form

  • After the death of his demon god form, Satan Morroc will respawn as Despair God Morroc (aka demigod in red clothes).
    • This form of the Demon God is still mostly meat sponge (save for some threatening skills), but this time, with a whopping 120,000,000 HP. If your build is skill-based, prepare SP potions.
    • It is recommended to wear shadow or shadow elemental armor here (Shadow Armor Scroll). The MVP will have access to Dark Grandcross (which melee classes should definitely watch out for) and Vampire’s Gift (which hits ranged classes as well).
    • He casts Earthquake. Watch out for a cast time bar above him (cast time is far shorter than the previous boss) and move away from the red cells (or tank it, if you are in a big party).
    • He is Shadow. Wear holy element ammunition/weapons or ask for Aspersio from an Archbishop with holy water.
    • As mentioned before, it is helpful to wear demon def/mdef pierece as well.
  • MVP details:
Despair God Morroc
120,000,000 HP, Medium, Demon, Boss Protocol, Shadow 2
  • After killing Despair God Morroc, talk to Nidhogg. She will transport you back to Flame Basin.
  • Talk to Commander Agip and Abidal again. Each of them will give you a Squad Prize (in other words, you should get two).
  • If this is your first time doing this quest, you will also get a Demon God Soulpiece. You can give this to Guardian Nidhogg (moro_vol 94, 110) to increase the EXP rate of the whole server by 10% for an hour.

Rewards

A Squad Prize has two pools. You will get one random item from each pool (in other words, you get one item from Pool 1 and another from Pool 2 from each Squad Prize).
