Introduction

Shadow Chaser is the third job advancement for the Thief Class. Popular builds for this job include the melee auto-caster and physical bow types. This guide focuses on solo leveling and primarily discusses which monsters to target, especially when utilizing world bounty quests.

For a more comprehensive understanding of PVM Shadow Chaser strategies, you may find my guide on that topic to be a valuable complement to this leveling guide.

Some bonus tips

To enhance your Shadow Chaser’s damage output and save time during leveling, consider creating a slave sage to provide endowments.

You’ll require items from the Point Seller to utilize Endow Quake, Endow Tsunami, Endow Blaze, and Endow Tornado effectively.

Point Seller offers various items for purchase, including Scarlet Points for Endow Quake, Lime Green Points for Endow Quake, Indigo Points for Endow Tsunami, and Yellow Wish Points for Endow Tornado.

While these items may not be essential, they can significantly enhance your overall quality of life in the game. For instance, the Premium Buff Box offers a +20% experience rate boost, and by acquiring an Additional Buff for Experience Rate from the Premium Buff Box, you can further increase your experience rate by 30% for the duration of 4 Nyangvine. I recommend utilizing this enhancement, especially during weekend experience boosts, to maximize your leveling efficiency.

You can also use Battle Manual to further add exp rate for 50%.

Navigation System

Introducing a feature that enables players to warp to specific towns, dungeons, and locations, significantly reducing map traversal time. This convenient service is available for just 20KP per box, containing 40 tickets.

World Bounty Quest Leveling

The majority of grinding areas below can be effectively tackled using both builds.

Level 99-100

Stapo, Muscupilar, Drosera (World Bounty Quest; Endow Blaze for this map)
Alternative: Magmaring

Level 100-110

Hill Wind, Roween (World Bounty Quest; Utilize Endow Quake)
Alternative: Kobold (ra_fild05)
If you have Arrow Storm or Severe Rainstorm, it’s better to take this map. Kobolds also have a World Bounty Quest.

Level 110-120

Pinguicula (World Bounty Quest; Use Endow Blaze)

Level 120-130

Scaraba (dic_dun02)

(World Bounty Quest; Fight with Endow Blaze)
Scarabas activate Stone Skin after being hit by an attack, so it’s crucial to eliminate them quickly.

Level 130- 160

Zombie Slaughter, Ragged Zombie, Flame Skull (abbey02)

(World Bounty Quest; Endow Blaze)

Consider focusing on completing the World Bounty on this map from levels 130 to 160, as the monsters here have lower HP compared to those found in the level 150 World Bounty on Bifrost. This makes for easier kills and faster experience gain.
If you’re determined, you have the option to grind here until reaching level 175.

Level 160- 175

Big Bell (c_tower3_)

[World Bounty Quest] It’s worth noting that these monsters are neutral, so elemental endowments won’t provide any advantage.
Equipping defense-piercing gear like the Vibration Penetration Set can significantly increase your damage output against Big Bell.

Alternative: Biolab dungeon 3
If you feel confident in facing these formidable monsters, you can venture here. Typically, other players form parties for this area.

Pure Grinding Leveling No World Bounty

Level 100-110

Magmaring (ve_fild03)

Level 110-120

 Vanberk, Isilla (ra_san01)

Level 120-130

Wickebine Tres, Errende Ebecee, Armeyer Dinze, Egnigem Cenia, Etc. (lhz_dun02)

Killer Mantis, Angra Mantis (gld_dun02_2)

Level 130-160

Zombie Slaughter, Ragged Zombie, Flame Skull (abbey_02)

(Same as World Bounty Quest; best to take World Bounty as well)

Alternative:
Upon reaching level 134, consider moving to Bifrost Dungeon 2. This dungeon also has its World Bounty Quest. Ensure to equip fire armor for protection against the elemental threats present in the dungeon. Water elemental weapon can provide an advantage against the monsters here. You can continue farming Zeny in this area until reaching level 160.

Level 160-175

Big Bell (c_tower3_)

Same as World Bounty option, it’s recommended to prioritize obtaining the World Bounty quest for faster leveling. This location currently offers the best experience gains and serves as the primary grinding spot.
