Overview

Shadow Chaser has a lot of build options. With proper equipment, your preferred build with this Job class will surely shine. This guide will mainly focus on Player vs Monsters (PVM) build of Shadow Chaser. So, if you’re looking for a PVP/WOE oriented Shadow Chaser, this guide is not for you.

There are two builds that this guide will be covering, mainly: Bow Type, and Autocast Magic shadow Chaser.

Hopefully this guide will help you get enough information to choose which build you would pursue on your Shadow Chaser Journey. (Or make them both, what’s stopping you? /no1)

Melee Shadow Chaser will be updated in this guide if the future patch will provide better equipment for it. As of now these 2 builds are the most used in Shadow Chaser class on PVM.

Bow Type Shadow Chaser – Thieves Guide Version

The first build that we will be discussing is the Crit Bow Type Shadow Chaser. If you like to play long range without a Warg or falcon, you could make a Bow Type Shadow Chaser. Even without Warg or Falcon, with the proper equipment and stat build Shadow Chaser can be at par with a Ranger or even stronger.

It is highly recommended to get Thieves Guide Vol. 1 to get Maximum Power Thrust and Frenzy. This build will rely on critical damage to maximize damage output.

Core Item – Thieves Guide

STR +5, INT +5, AGI +5.
If character learns [Scribble],
STR +5, INT +5, AGI +5 additionally.

If character learns Lv3 [Masquerade-Enervation],
able to cast Lv5 [Wind Walker].

If character learns Lv3 [Masquerade-Gloomy],
able to cast Lv5 [Assumptio].

If character learns Lv3 [Masquerade-Ignorance],
able to cast Lv5 [Maximum Power-Thrust].

If character learns Lv3 [Masquerade-Laziness],
able to cast Lv5 [Meteor Assault].

If character learns Lv3 [Masquerade-Weakness],
able to cast Lv5 [Mystical Amplification].

If character learns Lv3 [Masquerade-Unlucky], able to cast Lv1 [Frenzy].

Stat Distribution

At Max Level, this would be your stats + job level stat bonuses. This is only a guide, and you can adjust your stats based on your preferred stat distribution.

STR – 1~30 (for weight limit/ if you can afford gym pass leave this at 1)

AGI – 90~120 (if you need more aspd, pump it to 120)

VIT – 90~100 (for tanking mobs, you can leave this to 50 if you prioritize damage increasing equipment that requires stats to be divisible by 18)

INT- 1 (This will not be focusing on Arrow Storm, Triangle Shot, SRS but if you’re planning to mix it in this build try to put 30~50)

DEX- 120~126 (for main damage, 126 for equipment requiring stats to be divisible by 18)

LUK- 120~126(for additional damage and Crit Rate, 126 for equipments requiring stats to be divisible by 18)

Skill Build

At max job level, this is the preferred skill build. Even though Masquerades are for PVP and WOE we will put skill points on it to maximize Thieves Guide Vol. 1 Accessory Equipment. (Same as Scribble Skill if you want to maximize the stat bonus of Thieves Guide). We won’t be needing Shadow Spell as Auto-cast Bow is not doable yet on the recent patch of ROGGH. Don’t worry about leaving skills at lv. 0 as other skills are for PVP and WOE. Freely adjust your Skill build based on this picture below.

Equipment and Cards

In this section, I will post a lot of equipment and choose from the list depending on your budget, but this build will be most effective when using Maximum Power-Thrust and Frenzy from Thieves Guide Vol. 1. Sample equipment builds will be posted at the end of Shadow Chaser Crit Bow Type Build.
