Introduction
Hello, all you aspiring dancers, and welcome to ROGGH!! :3 Before you start on this wonderful journey, let me first put out all the Pros and Cons of the class before we proceed, so no one will be needed to replay a character.
Objective
This guide’s objective is to help fellow dancers get to Gypsy Level 99 as soon as possible, with minimal effort and money (This is meant for F2P Players, Shoo Whales!)
Why play Dancer/Gypsy?
Pros
- One of the cheapest classes to build to decent build
- Minimal Competition (For Race and Equipment)
- Crucial class for War of Emperium (Loki’s Viel, Gypsy Kiss, Slow Grace, Dazzling Scream)
- Extremely good from Early to Mid-game (Solo Play)
- One of the few classes that can spam skill with minimal INT (Gypsy Kiss Swap)
- Can watch YouTube when leveling if have party /gg
Cons
- Weaker counterpart vs Minstrel (Bragi more sought after, also requires 10 more skill points to reach Mental Sensing for Gypsy, Bragi need DEX and INT, Gypsy need INT)
- Parties tend to disregard Dancer/Gypsy because they own blind GK/Bragi (Meaning they have dancer/bard outside of party to give buff without getting exp)
- Damage falls off hard later in the game (3rd class, guide coming soon! 😊)
To level quickly, we need to take the EXP Boost vs Penalty table into consideration to pick the best spot to get the most out of mobs for exp:
Ideally, you would always want to fight monsters 10 levels ahead of you. Don’t be afraid of the level difference. The dancer is not as weak as you thought she would be. Without further ado, let’s get into the leveling route:
Novice Route Job 1-9
You spawn in a ship, get out of the portal asap, we are on a speed run!! D:<
Ignore Injured Passenger! Talk to Captain and kill 2 poring, then talk to Sailor.
After going out of the ship, talk to these NPC. Just spam click enter, no one got time to read!
Next, talk to Cerene Dark Shadow and Welcome to Bifrost Tower…. Sike! It’s just a duck. This is compulsory to get, please do not miss this, this duck can give you bless and Agi every 15 minutes!
Move towards the north side of Izlude, you will click this old man to get an Apple juice, immediately drink it and click the old man again for EXP. Ignore the guard beside him, not worth doing!
Enter the north building in Izlude and you will be met with a beautiful lady, Sprakki. Talk to her twice, the first one she gives you a yellow hat, the second one is quest for free EXP from Kafra Employee.
Exit the building and start to walk to the center of town and talk to Kafra, she will then give you exp and a Delivery Box for a quest (In general store).
Walk to the general store and click this lady for a Poor Can, sell it inside general store.
Talk to Morris once inside the general store, deliver the Kafra delivery box, and then sell the Poor Can. Talk to lady again outside of General Store again for EXP. Now, time to go out of the city!!
Once you are out of town, talk to Ur and then the Kid, kill 2 Lunatic. After killing Lunatic, talk to Kid for EXP. Return and talk to Ur and you should be job 10 now! 😊
Archer Equipment and Stats (At this Step)
The Timekeeper + Metal Bow is available for all new players from August. It can be found in the New Player Box. The stats will be Agi 10 for Double Strafe (DS) speed, Int 10 for more SP for spamming DS, and Dex 15 for damage.
Leveling Route (DANCER)
Level 8-21 (pay_fild02)
Since you just came out of Payon, it is better to start in Payon! Spores and Boas are what you should aim for. The item that we are focusing on here is strawberries! These cute little creatures drop strawberries at a 30% chance (Lv15-21)! Pick up all items dropped for Zeny and sell them through the merchant.
Strategy of Attack: Arrow, Normal Attack.
(Stats at 21: 30 DEX, 15 AGI, 10 INT)
Level 21-30 (pay_fild04)
Hunt Poporing, pick up all items dropped for Zeny, sell via merchant. Strategy of Attack: Arrow, Normal Attack.
(Stats at 30: 40 DEX, 18 AGI, 15 INT)
Level 30-40 (moc_fild03)
Hunt Wolves, pick up all items especially Strawberries. Then sell others via merchant.
Strategy of Attack: Fire Arrow, DS once per mob, Fly wing when Mobbed.
(Stats at 40: 49 DEX, 25 AGI, 20 INT)
Level 40-41
Proceed to do Eden Quest to get P.Bow 2 for more firepower before proceeding. Talk to Instructor Boya in Eden Headquarters and get the quest to kill orcs. Start by moving to Orc Dungeon via Prontera/Geffen Kafra and talking to Eden Member in Orc Dungeon to start.
Monsters to kill:
5x Orc baby
10x Orc Warrior
10x Orc Lady
By this point, you should have the 2nd set of Eden Armor, you can choose to wear it.
Level 41-52 (orcsdun01)
Hunt Orc Zombie, this is one of the fastest leveling places from 1-99 but unfortunately, we are unable to stay here long because we need to collect more materials. Make sure to pick up Orc Claw for a decent Neutral Arrow (Steel Arrow from Arrow Crafting)
Strategy of Attack: Holy Arrow, Juke and Double Strafex2, Try to mob and Arrow Shower for more EXP.
(Stats at 52: 65 DEX, 25 AGI, 27 INT)
At this point, you should be a Dancer now! Congratulation, Meow! :3 Now you can do flash dance, which will be explained later in this guide. Make sure you are Job 50 to skip tedious job quest!
Level 52 – 60 (iz_dun03)
Hunt Marc, this will be the first element we will be farming. What we are aiming for is Gill and Mystic Frozen, which drop at 45% and 0.09% respectively. If you are lucky, you will get a Marc card. You can sell it for a high price or self-use it in WOE. Besides that, white herbs are highly sought after by alchemists, so this can be a Zeny maker too! However, this place is very dangerous. Be sure to buy enough potions and blue herbs to spam DS.
Strategy of Attack: Steel Arrow, Spam DS kill them as soon as possible, water ball is lethal!
(Stats at 60: 70 DEX, 25 AGI, 42 INT)
Level 60-65 (mjolnir_03)
Kill everything in this map, there are a few items that needs attention:
Mantis – Green Live 0.55%, Mantis Card 0.01%
Driller – Yellow Gemstone 19.4%, Red Gemstone 17.5%
Side Winder – White Herb 5%, Venom Canine 12.5%, Sidewinder Card 0.01%
Strategy of Attack: Fire Arrow, Spam DS on driller, the rest Juke and DS, Driller have fast move speed!
(Stats at 65: 70 DEX, 30 AGI, 50 INT)
Level 65-78(yuno_fild08)
Now it is time to put those gills into good use, convert them into Crystal arrow and kill all these chickens (Grand Peco) and sheep (Goat). This is one of the best places to farm wind arrow element, the Wind of Verdure, you need this for rebirth, keep it! This is also a very good place to report bots, please help community and help report them.
Strategy of Attack: Water Arrow, Spam DS!
(Stats at 65: 85 DEX, 40 AGI, 55 INT)
Level 78-79
Proceed to do Eden Quest to get Eden Group Bow 3 for more firepower. This time, talk to Instructor Ur to start the quest and he will send you to Glast Heim.
Before talking to the Dispatched Instructor, talk to Reno and then Claude to get the quest to slay Evil Druid and Wraiths since 1 kill counts for both quest! Free EXP and time saving.
Strategy of Attack: Holy Arrow, Spam DS!
After completing the quest, you should have all Eden upgraded armor and weapon, use them all and drop your timeless set at this point.
Level 79-85 (yuno_fild06)
This part is only needed to prepare for all element arrow for your character, kill the sleepers. There should be Geographer in this map, but you can ignore these plants. The reason why I choose yuno_fild06 over yuno_fild02 is because I do not want distraction from harpies. In this map, we are focusing on Great Nature, which can be converted to Stone Arrow!
Strategy of Attack: Fire Arrow, Spam DS!
(Stats at 85: 90 DEX, 54 AGI, 55 INT)
Level 85-95 (ve_fild07)
This will be the first map that you will need to find party to level up faster, this is just an option, at this point you can solo this if you cannot find any party. Careful of AFK parties, they are the scum of the earth and leech exp! >:c
Strategy of Attack: Fire Arrow, Spam DS!
(Stats at 95: 90 DEX, 70 AGI, 65 INT)
Level 95-99 (ve_fild03)
This is the final map for dancer solo as well as gypsy route but If you have a party, it is better to go to Magma Dungeon 2. For this map, it is always great to have a party to level faster just like stapo but be careful of leechers.
Strategy of Attack: Water Arrow, Spam DS!
(Stats at 99: 90 DEX, 70 AGI, 75 INT)
Congratulations! You can now rebirth now! If you have followed this guide diligently, you should have enough arrow of the 4 elements with you by now, therefore, the Gypsy Leveling Route will be slightly different and much faster now.
Leveling Route (GYPSY)
Level 8-21 (pay_fild02)
This route is like Dancer Route, get as much Strawberries as you can.
Strategy of Attack: Arrow, Normal Attack.
(Stats at 21: 30 DEX, 15 AGI, 25 INT, 5 VIT)
Level 21-30 (pay_fild04)
This route is like the Dancer Route.
Strategy of Attack: Arrow, Normal Attack.
(Stats at 30: 40 DEX, 15 AGI, 30 INT, 5 VIT)
Level 30-41 (moc_fild03)
This route is like the Dancer Route, get as much Strawberries as you can.
Strategy of Attack: Fire Arrow, DS once per mob, Fly wing when Mobbed.
(Stats at 41: 50 DEX, 25 AGI, 30 INT, 10 VIT)
Level 41-65 (orcsdun01)
This step will be a little bit different from Dancer Route, you will be leveling here until you become Gypsy and continue leveling here until 65.
Strategy of Attack: Holy Arrow, Juke and Double Strafex2, Try to mob and Arrow Shower for more EXP.
(Stats at 52: 70 DEX, 35 AGI, 52 INT, 10 VIT)
Level 65-70(yuno_fild08)
For Gypsy route, we will farm Grand Peco until 70 for maximum exp efficiency.
Strategy of Attack: Water Arrow, Spam DS!
(Stats at 65: 70 DEX, 45 AGI, 60 INT, 10 VIT)
Level 70-76(gef_fild08)
For Gypsy Route, we will be farming Sky Petite for maximum exp efficiency. They are easy to kill and good exp. They are also quite scattered which is good for DS.
Strategy of Attack: Stone Arrow, Spam DS!
(Stats at 65: 70 DEX, 45 AGI, 69 INT, 10 VIT)
Level 76-85(gef_fild06)
For Gypsy Route, we will be farming Earth Petite for maximum exp efficiency. They are easy to kill and good exp. However, they are very dangerous because they have long range attacks, lure them 1 by 1 and kill them as fast as possible.
Strategy of Attack: Fire Arrow, Juke and Spam DS!

Level 85-95 (ve_fild07)
This route is like the Dancer Route.

Level 95-99 (ve_fild03)
This route is like the Dancer Route.
Strategy of Attack: Water Arrow, Spam DS!

Stat Point Distribution for Dancer
This section just explains why certain stats is more important than others:
Priority Chain: DEX > INT > AGI > VIT > STR > LUK
Dancers want to level up swiftly to level 99 for rebirth, hence DEX is their most crucial stat because it enhances damage. The reason INT is next is that it provides you with a large mana pool to spam skills and a class benefit; dancers also have above-average INT scaling compared to other classes, and it also boost Gypsy Kiss. To boost the amount of Double Strafe you can utilize every second, you’ll require AGI. The other stats are not important.
Stat Point Distribution for Gypsy
This section just explains why certain stats is more important than others:
Priority Chain: INT > DEX> AGI > VIT > STR > LUK
Gypsy will need to start focusing more on INT than DEX this time around, because Gypsy Kiss is Gypsy’s bread and butter. These stats will focus on preparing for the 3rd class and therefore, the next stats to focus on will be DEX for decent leveling potential. AGI will be significantly lower than when you are a Dancer, you only need AGI to spam Double Strafing, this is not meant for dodging purposes. When nearing Lv99 Gypsy, start to focus on VIT, this stat will become crucial from the starting of 3rd class as monsters hit hard as well as getting to stun immunity (100 VIT) when attempting WoE. STR should be the least priority just to help carry more weights. LUK stat is redundant at this point.
Skill Point Distribution for Dancer
Skill level Route: Vulture’s Eye 10 > Owl’s Eye 10 > Double Strafe 10 > Attention Concentrate 10 > Arrow Shower 9
At the beginning, you do not need any skills to kill monsters, to kill low level monster, just use normal attack and level up you Vulture Eye which gives you long range attack, this is very important as this will save a lot of time walking into the mob and hit them. Owl eye passively increases damage so that is second priority. Double Strafing only begins to shine when fighting something like Wolf, therefore only focus DS when you are nearing Wolf leveling range. Attention Concentrate is good, but it takes a lot of SP and have short duration. You can choose to add Attention Concentrate so that your normal attack hits harder but to me, it is insignificant.
As a Dancer, prioritize on unlocking your dance skills especially Adaptation/Amp lv 1, Encore lv1, Dance Lesson lv10, Gypsy Kiss/Service for You lv10, Mental Sensing/Kim’s a Rich Man lv10.
Gypsy Kiss will be used for Flash Dance DS while Mental Sensing is used in a party to get a lot of EXP, these two dances is crucial when party leveling, add this just in case any party is available.
Skill Point Distribution for Gypsy
Gypsy has the exact same skill tree when dealing with Archer skill tree so I will skip this part.
Looking at the image above, there are a lot more skills to be add. The crucial skills to add are:
Kim’s a Rich Man/Mental Sensing – Crucial Skill for PVE (Must Have), Increase EXP Gain.
Loki’s Veil – Crucial Skill for WOE (Must Have), Disable to use of skill in the area.
Dancing Lesson – Crucial Skill for Gypsy (Must Have), Increase dance efficiency.
Scream – Crucial Skill for WOE (Must Have), Stuns enemies in wide area.
Please Don’t Forget Me/Slow Grace – Crucial Skill for WOE (Must Have), Slows Enemies in the area.
Service for You/Gypsy Kiss – Crucial Skill for WOE and PVE (Must Have), Halved all SP cost and Increase Max SP based on INT.
Longing for Freedom – Crucial Skill for WOE and PVE (Must Have) Able to use certain skills when Dance is active.
Tarot Card of Fate – Crucial Skill for WOE (Must Have) Random effects on Enemy Players, have a chance to instant kill a player.
Note: DO NOT TAKE ARROW VULCAN!
Arrow Vulcan is one of the worse skills in the game, it deals low damage and have a long animation time, you better off using Double Strafe when PVE. Another reason why you shouldn’t add Arrow Vulcan is because you simply do not have enough skill points left. Only take this if you are not planning to WOE anytime soon and want to look stylish! (Arrow Vulcan ironically one of the coolest looking skills in RO)
Flash Dance
Dance Swapping is crucial skill that a player must learn if they want to master the art of dancing! Dance swapping is basically the skill Adaptation to Circumstances/Amp but with no delay.
Usually when a dancer starts a dance, she cannot cancel the dance unless she uses the skill: Adaptation to Circumstances/Amp. The problem with that skill is that it has a cast delay or a cooldown because it can be activated again. Therefore, let’s set an example where the dancer wanted to cast Gypsy Kiss and then cast Fortune’s kiss to increase party critical rate while reduce SP consumption, she would have to go through this:
Gypsy Kiss > Wait 6 seconds > Adaptation to Circumstances/Amp > Fortune’s Kiss
This total Process takes almost 8 seconds to setup.
What if I tell you, you can reduce this time by a significant amount? 
But first let me teach you how dance works, whenever a dance has been initiated, everyone in the affected area will have the buff for ~20 seconds at most before it disappears. Meaning, you potentially can have multiple dances within these ~20 second times frame. As stated just now, the problem seems to be the 6 second wait before Amp can be used to cancel the dance. Therefore, it is always better to switch your whip to a weapon of different category to forcefully stop dancing. Taking the same example while switching weapons, you will get something like this:
Gypsy Kiss > Swap to Dagger > Swap back to Whip > Fortune’s Kiss
This total Process takes 3 seconds(slowest) to setup.
(Note: Use one hand-weapon swap if you don’t want to unequip your shield during Flash Dance)
There you go, this is the fundamental of flash dance! This is a skill compulsory to all dancers and bards alike, especially in WOE. You will need to try your best to flash dance so that the enemy will not be able to benefit from your buff while multiple buffing your guild mates.
Finally, this is a simple combo that I use every time when dealing with high HP or tough monsters/boss.
Encore (Gypsy Kiss) > Swap to Bow > DS for 15 seconds > Swap to Whip > Encore > Repeat
